Dhanak is for winter, not summer. It is a soft suiting used for unstitched cool-weather sets (also spelled dhannak). It is not lawn. Searches are smaller than khaddar and peak in November. Hamayl Designer Hub does not sell dhanak.
Dhanak vs khaddar
| Dhanak | Khaddar at Hamayl | |
|---|---|---|
| Season | October–December, peak November | Late October through winter |
| Hand | Softer, smoother winter suit cloth | More texture, cotton-forward |
| How we sell it | Not in stock | Unstitched per gaz, printed or plain |
Both are winter cloths. The weave and the fibre change by mill, so a dhanak from one shop will not match a khaddar from another in the hand. Khaddar is the one on this wall.
Other winter names we do not stock yet: velvet, marina, karandi, cambric, viscose, peach wool.
What to buy instead
Printed khaddar is the kids winter cloth in stock, with cash on delivery. Solid colours are on plain dyed khaddar. A lighter print is winter cotton. Short note on the same question: what dhanak is.
