Heavy monsoon rains combined with the release of water from India’s dams have pushed the Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers to “exceptionally high” levels, forcing more than 32,500 people to evacuate their homes. Entire villages, farmlands, and towns are under threat, and many communities are struggling to survive amidst this calamity.
